The only realistic approach is to focus first on the identification and collection of the potentially relevant documents. Raposa focal points will work with in-house teams or external counsel to identify the “data universe” and advise on scheduling and costs of recovery of identified sources.

We can make recovered data available to you over a secure connection via our own Forensic Electronic Discovery System (FEDS), which allows you to make fast accurate assessments of what you have got and what is important.

We preserve all the data and associated metadata. We can prove, throughout the life of a project, exactly what was found, where and in what condition and most importantly maintain all necessary chain of custody information.

We can work with you to prepare for Case Management Conferences or review disclosure statements for the civil / commercial courts. The aim is to help you take the initiative early in proceedings and to ensure you don’t agree to unrealistic schedules.

When you are ready to begin detailed legal review and analysis of the data we will liaise with your chosen hosting company or litigation software supplier to ensure a seamless transfer of data in the format required by the system. We can help you chose a supplier if you don’t already have one.

Forensic Electronic Discovery System (FEDS)

Raposa’s bespoke On-Line Review tool enables Investigation or Legal review teams to access data that has been forensically collected, searching it on a keyword basis within hours of imaging being complete. FEDS is excellent as a ‘first-pass’ review tool, where quick access to key data will allow on-site assessment as to how a case should develop. The tool is robust enough to support large groups of reviewers on a more formal, long term investigation basis.

Expert Witness Services

Building a solid case on digital evidence is often only half the story. Submitting written evidence or appearing before a regulatory authority or court to present and defend that case is just as important. A tribunal or courtroom can often prove too much for client or law-firm IT personnel - Raposas Forensic collections team have provided expert testimony to US/UK regulators and UK courts.
